In this new entry about book covers, I will show you two covers done for "The Galactic Mage" series by author John Daulton, a great book series with a mixture between fantasy and sci-fi genres. Available in paperback and ebook.

At the moment I'm working on the cover for volume three, that will be published this year.

En esta nueva entrada dedicada a las portadas, os muestro dos cubiertas realizadas para la serie de libros "The Galactic Mage" del escritor John Daulton, una saga que mezcla magistralmente la fantasía y la ciencia ficción. Publicada en inglés y disponible en papel y ebook.

Actualmente estoy trabajando en la cubierta del tercer volumen, que saldrá publicado este año.

Following the entries about cover art, here I show you the cover of book "Duelo de Espadas" (Sword Duel) of writer Lucía González Lavado, published this january by Destino publishing house. Is a fantasy novel published both in paper and ebook, but only available in spanish at the moment.

I already worked with Lucía in other projects. On 2012 her urban fantasy book "Crónicas de Sombras: Los elegidos" (Shadow Chronicles: The chosen ones), published by Alberto Santos, I did the cover art and also several artworks inside. You can also see that cover below. 

Right now I'm working with Lucía in several other projects that we expect to show you with time =).

Siguiendo las entradas sobre ilustraciones para cubiertas de libros, os muestro la portada de "Duelo de Espadas" de la escritora Lucía González Lavado. Se trata de una novela río de corte fantástico y se ha publicado este mes de enero por la editorial Destino. Está disponible en papel y ebook. 

Con Lucía ya he trabajado en otras ocasiones. En 2012 se publicó su libro de fantasía urbana "Crónicas de Sombras: Los elegidos" a través de Alberto Santos Editorial, novela para la que realicé no sólo la portada sino también varias ilustraciones que adornaron la cubierta y el interior. También podéis ver la portada de este libro más abajo.

Actualmente Lucía y yo estamos trabajando en otros proyectos que iremos mostrando a su debido tiempo =).

In this and the next entries of the blog I will show you some of the covers for books I did over this last year. I will began with the cover of the new edition of "Donde los árboles cantan" (Where the trees sing) by Laura Gallego. 

To celebrate more than 100.000 books sell in only a year, SM has published a new limited edition, with hard cover, new image for it and two free postcards that show both cover images. This book has recently won the Spanish National Prize of Infantile and Juvenile Literature 2012. Down this entry you can see the special edition cover, and also the full cover of the regular edition.

En esta y próximas entradas del blog os voy a mostrar algunas de las ilustraciones que he realizado durante el último año para portadas de libros. Empezaremos por la nueva portada para la edición especial de "Donde los árboles cantan" de Laura Gallego.

Para celebrar los más de 100.000 ejemplares vendidos en un año, SM ha sacado a la venta una edición especial limitada, con tapa dura, nueva portada y dos postales de regalo en el interior con las ilustraciones de ambas portadas. Además, la novela ha ganado recientemente el Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil 2012. A continuación podéis ver la portada de la edición especial, y más abajo la portada completa que se publicó en la edición normal.

Subasta benéfica // Charity auction

A charity auction for homeless cats is currently ongoing in Esperanza Felina (Feline Hope) website. Several artists, writers and collaborators take part in this project. All money earned will be used for food and veterinary care for cats.

I take part in this auction with a lot that includes an original pencil drawing (21x30cm) and exclusive color print (15x22cm), both of them signed. You can bid for the lot here.

Auction will accept bids from Spain and from abroad, if you have any doubt you can ask the organization here.

Una subasta benéfica a favor de gatos sin hogar está teniendo lugar en este momento a través de la asociación Esperanza Felina, en la que participan varios artistas y escritores de diversa indole. El dinero recaudado será destinado a la alimentación y gastos veterinarios de gatos sin hogar.

Colaboro en esta subasta con un lote que incluye dibujo original a lápiz (21x30cm) y print exclusivo a color (15x22cm), ambos firmados. Se puede pujar por el lote aqui.
