New artbook / Nuevo libro

I just published a new artbook: "Gold & sword".

It's a small paperback artbook, with soft cover and 56 pages with my most recent works. It includes a small selection of the most outstanding artworks from my artbook "Nocturna", for all those who could not get a copy.

This time, the book doesn't contain any text -except for a brief introduction in English and Spanish- that way you will be able to enjoy it regardless of your language.

Se trata de un libro de ilustraciones en un formato más ligero que los anteriores, de tapa blanda y con 56 páginas que muestran mis trabajos más recientes. Today I will show you a different cover art. It's a cover for the roleplaying book "Shadow Hunters: Cthulhu myths", a suplementary book for Shadow Hunters rol game, available on pdf (only spanish) and soon in paperback. I've always been a fan of Lovecrafts' works, so this was a special occasion to homage his creation. You can find more info about the book here.

Steampunk Artbook

Steampunk is the theme of the new artbook of the Gothic Dreams series published by Flame Tree Publishing. This book contains a selection of artworks of steampunk genre, with texts of author Henry Winchester. My art is featured in this book as the cover and there's several images also on interior pages. The volume contains 128 pages in hardback.

Reflections // Reflejos

I began this year publishing a new book. "Reflections", a one volume comic book of 64 pages, that contains two stand-alone short comics: "Reflections", an horror story that takes place on victorian times, and "The Valley of Olives", a tragic medieval romance. Both stories were originally published on spanish magazine Shade (2005). This re-edition is available in english, both in paperback and ebook (coming soon) versions.

Comienzo este año con la publicación de un nuevo libro. "Reflejos", es un único volumen recopilatorio de cómic de 64 páginas, que contiene dos historias cortas autoconclusivas: "Reflejos", una historia de terror ambientada en época victoriana, y "El Valle de los Olivos", un trágico romance medieval. Ambas historias fueron publicadas originalmente en la revista española Shade (2005). Esta re-edición está disponible en español o inglés, en formato papel y ebook (muy pronto).

Following the entries about cover art, here I show you the cover of book "Duelo de Espadas" (Sword Duel) of writer Lucía González Lavado, published this january by Destino publishing house. Is a fantasy novel published both in paper and ebook, but only available in spanish at the moment.

I already worked with Lucía in other projects. On 2012 her urban fantasy book "Crónicas de Sombras: Los elegidos" (Shadow Chronicles: The chosen ones), published by Alberto Santos, I did the cover art and also several artworks inside. You can also see that cover below. 

Right now I'm working with Lucía in several other projects that we expect to show you with time =).

Siguiendo las entradas sobre ilustraciones para cubiertas de libros, os muestro la portada de "Duelo de Espadas" de la escritora Lucía González Lavado. Se trata de una novela río de corte fantástico y se ha publicado este mes de enero por la editorial Destino. Está disponible en papel y ebook. 

Con Lucía ya he trabajado en otras ocasiones. En 2012 se publicó su libro de fantasía urbana "Crónicas de Sombras: Los elegidos" a través de Alberto Santos Editorial, novela para la que realicé no sólo la portada sino también varias ilustraciones que adornaron la cubierta y el interior. También podéis ver la portada de este libro más abajo.

Actualmente Lucía y yo estamos trabajando en otros proyectos que iremos mostrando a su debido tiempo =).
