Facebook

My good friend and great artist Javier Trujillo told me recently that somebody opened a fans club about my artworks on Facebook. For me it was a great surprise and I'm very grateful to the one/ones that opened it and spent part of their time updating there some of my artworks :) (If you read this, I would love if you can contact me ^_^). Taking a look, I saw that a lot of people left their messages there believing that I was the creator of the fans club, but as I'm not, I can't answer to any of their messages. So I opened my own Facebook profile, and there I can be in contact with all of you :). So here I left you the links to my profile on Facebook and the fans club that I talked about ^__^.

Mi buen amigo y compañero de profesión, Javier Trujillo, me ha comentado hace poco que habían abierto un club de fans de mis obras en Facebook. Para mí ha sido una grata sorpresa y quiero agradecerselo a la persona o personas que se han molestado en abrirlo y subir parte de mi obra :) (si leeis esto, me gustaría que os pusierais en contacto conmigo ^_^). Al echarle un vistazo, he visto que mucha gente que escribe comentarios cree que yo soy quien ha creado este club, y claro está, como no lo soy, no puedo contestar a los mensajes que me dejan. De modo que he abierto mi propio perfil en Facebook, y alli si que podré estar en contacto con vosotros :). Back from conventions / De vuelta de los salones

The conventions and festivals of this year are over and I want to take a moment to say thank you for their attention and for being so pleasant with me to the people of Imaginamálaga, Expocómic and the publishers Lizard Edizioni and Norma Editorial. It was a great experience to be with you on this events and I hope to be able to go again in the future :). I want also to send a big hug to all the artists and authors that I had the pleasure to meet for first time or to meet again (it was a pleasure to share this good moments with all of you ^_^), to the fans that had been on the signing sessions and to all the people that had been there with me sharing so many good times. Thanks everybody, I miss you :).

For next year I have a lot of conventions and fairs where I'm planning to go, and I hope to meet some of you in them. I will keep you informed of this events on the blog when the time comes.

Los eventos y salones a los que tenía previsto ir este año ya han finalizado y quiero aprovechar este momento para agradecer a las organizaciones de Imaginamálaga y Expocómic y a las editoriales Lizard Edizioni y Norma Editorial toda su atención y amabilidad. Ha sido una experiencia muy grata estar con vosotros en estos eventos y espero poder acudir de nuevo en el futuro :). También quiero enviar un fuerte abrazo a los colegas artistas y compañeros de profesión que he tenido el placer de conocer y a aquellos con los que me he vuelto a encontrar (ha sido fantástico compartir estos ratos con vosotros ^_^), a los fans que han acudido a las firmas y a todas las personas que me han acompañado y compartido conmigo tantos buenos momentos. Gracias a todos, se os echa de menos :).

Para el próximo año tengo previstos varios salones y festivales, en los que espero encontrarme de nuevo con algunos de vosotros. Iré anunciando estos eventos en el blog según vayan confirmándose.

Expocomic 2008

This weekend I will be present at Expocómic Convention on Madrid (Spain), for the release of Forgotten 2, now for sale. I will be there from 27 to 30 of november, and this will be my last Convention of the year :).

Here you can see the schelude for signing sessions, on the scenary of Expocómic:
- Thursday 27 november: afternoon from 19:00 to 20:30 h.
- Friday 28 november: morning from 13:00 to 14:30 h.
- Saturday 29 november: morning from 12:30 to 14:00 h.

Este fin de semana estaré presente en el Expocómic de Madrid, presentando Forgotten 2 que está ya a la venta. Podéis encontrarme alli del 27 al 30 de noviembre, y este será el último salón al que acudiré este año :).

Aquí tenéis los horarios de sesiones de firmas, que se realizarán en el escenario de Expocómic:

- Jueves 27 de noviembre: por la tarde, de 19:00 a 20:30 h.

- Viernes 28 de noviembre: por la mañana, de 13:00 a 14:30 h.

- Sábado 29 de noviembre: por la mañana, de 12:30 a 14:00 h.

Another speedpaint / otra pintura rápida

Well, this was mostly an accident . While I was working in another work, I tried to add some textures on the character to achieve an effect and accidentally I pushed the wrong button ^^. The result was something that I liked, but didn't work well with the artwork... so I took the face, put it in another canvas and began to experiment with textures and brushes. It was so fun that I added some things to complete it . We could say it's a speedpainting, 5-6 hours more or less.

Este dibujo surgió accidentalmente. Mientras estaba trabajando en otra ilustración, intenté añadir algunas texturas en el personaje para conseguir un efecto determinado, pero por accidente pulsé el botón que no era ^^. El resultado fue algo que me gustó, pero que no quedaba bien con la imagen que estaba trabajando... de modo que cogí la cara, la puse en un nuevo lienzo y empecé a experimentar con las texturas y los pinceles. Me resultó tan divertido que al final añadí algunas cosas para completar la imagen. Se podría decir que es una pintura rápida, 5-6 horas más o menos.
